"The Bridge to the Rivera is a fictional story loaded with interesting facts. It is developed around the fictional character Josh Arigo but based on historical facts. A chance meeting in Atlantic City just after World War I began Josh's long involvement with questionable characters and his involvement with Ben Marden, Bill Miller and the Rivera nightclub. The story takes you through some of the most wild, turbulent and difficult times in US history. It shows you the inside workings of the nightclub business and how interwoven it is with the entertainment business. The author Tom Austin has a style of writing that is easy to read and understand, I highly recommend this book for both historical value and pure enjoyment."

"Tom Austin brings back a time in show business when there was sophistication and extraordinary talent presented in a personal and intimate setting. The Riviera was special in every way and the author presents this well written account of what it was like to experience this high point of the entertainment business. When big bands and well rehearsed dancers combined with the elite stars of this era it became a magical performance. Some day, when people again desire more than just a DJ at a laser light infused club the Riviera may rise again."
